What used to be a trend has now become an essential part of event planning. Environmental issues can no longer be ignored by organisers wishing to guarantee the success of their events.

The experience of many of our partners has proven that a solid sustainability plan integrated at an early stage into the overall event preparation leads not only to better results but also to a reduction in costs.

To ensure that organisers have the best possible tools at their disposal, the UCI has developed an environmental guide for the organisation of sustainable events. The reCycling guide goes beyond what its name suggests, offering a very practical framework to deal with a wide range of environmental issues. These include transport, catering, accommodation, communication and marketing, all of which can have an impact on fundamental elements such as energy, water and soil.

Sooner or later, all regions and organisers will be challenged by “green†policies and the need to obtain authorisations with respect to the environment. Be proactive and let us help you find creative solutions.

reCycling is an event management guide based on SSET – the sustainable development plan used for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. It worked for them, let our guide work for you.
